Living Memory

My final project in the academy. I can write a small book about it… (and I did…) Basically it’s an art installation on the topic of the Holocoust, my family from my father’s side and the concept of memory itself.
Through the scope of the project and installation, from macro to micro I attended all of those aspects and their relation one with the other.

The area was about 30 sqr meters of dark room full of wooden Czech hedgehogs (static anti-tank defense obstacle) hand tied by a metallic wire. A big projection of a short film about the subject, “give-aways” of the small printed booklet, carved names on wooden bricks, small drawings, and prints...
Facing and working through that project left a deep mark within me I hope to not forget.
